Tests are limited to the cases shown. Each guide explains observations and checks that were not completed. Where a publisher provides a license for a test, we disclose that relationship.

YouTube videos

Preview images are hosted with this site. In guides and listings, the player loads after you click a thumbnail. On dedicated video pages, it is present when the page opens, without autoplay. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.

Loading a player connects to YouTube and sends technical information needed for playback, including your IP address. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean no data is transmitted.

Browsing the site

This site has no account form, newsletter signup or audience analytics. The hosting provider may record page requests in server logs.

Information in our guides

Procedures can change with your device, operating system or software version. Check the instructions shown on your own device. An action that erases data should always be a deliberate choice.
